There is a distinct magic to the beginning of a story. It is that spark when a character first starts talking in your head. But keeping that initial voice clear across thirty chapters, three rewrites, and a two-week writing hiatus is a real challenge. How do you make sure the complex, flawed protagonist from chapter one speaks with the exact same weight in chapter twenty?
To help solve that problem, I have been building a creative space for us: The Writer’s Toolkit.
The Character Generator
The first core feature of the toolkit is the Character Builder. It is a web-based tool created to help you build characters with real internal friction, flaws, and distinct voices. Instead of spitting out generic character tropes, it gives you rich details that make your cast feel like actual people.
This is an ongoing project. I am regularly updating the trait pools, depth options, and character details so the tool keeps growing alongside your stories.
Keeping the Flow: Printable Character Sheets
Digital tools are great, but constantly tab-switching away from your manuscript breaks your concentration. To help keep your writing momentum going, the Character Generator lets you save and print out physical PDF Character Reference Sheets.
